What a warehouse contract has to solve
- Headcount that doubles for a peak, then returns
- Shift cover that does not fail on a Sunday
- People who are verified before they touch stock
- Attendance that reconciles to what is paid
- Replacement without stopping the line
Warehouse and distribution roles
A warehouse does not fail because it is short of people. It fails because it is short of the right people on the wrong shift.
| Role | Typical work |
|---|---|
| Loaders & unloaders | Container and truck loading, offloading, palletising, staging at the dock |
| Pickers & packers | Order picking against a list or scanner, packing, labelling, dispatch preparation |
| Forklift & lifter operators | Pallet movement, racking, stacking, container handling, yard movement |
| Storekeepers & inventory clerks | Stock in and out, GRNs, issue slips, bin locations, cycle counts |
| Dispatch & documentation staff | Delivery notes, gate passes, load sheets, courier and transporter handover |
| Scanner & WMS operators | Entering and confirming movements in your own warehouse system |
| Housekeeping & dock cleaning | Aisles, docks, washrooms and waste — kept clear so the operation keeps moving |
| Shift supervisors | Roster, attendance, task allocation and handover between shifts |
Fleet drivers for the same operation are covered on driver supply, and site cleaning on housekeeping outsourcing — most clients run all three on one contract.
Everyone else is sending Pakistani workers abroad
Search for warehouse manpower in Pakistan and almost everything that comes back is an overseas recruitment company supplying loaders and forklift operators to the Gulf or to Europe. Useful if you are a Dubai logistics firm. Useless if you run a distribution centre in Lahore.
This page is the other direction: staff for warehouses, distribution centres and fulfilment operations inside Pakistan. We hold no overseas employment promoter licence and we do not deploy abroad, which is exactly why we can be judged on what matters here — how fast a shift gets covered, and whether the stock count still ties out at the end of the month.
Workers are employed by us. Written contracts, bank-paid salaries with payslips, EOBI and provincial social security by place of work, and attendance that reconciles to what was paid.
Six things that decide whether a surge works
Ramzan, Eid, sale events, a new client going live — the pattern is always the same, and so is what breaks.
Surge planned, not improvised
Headcount, dates and trades agreed before the peak, so there is still time to recruit rather than take whoever is available.
The same faces come back
Where a client runs the same peak every year, we aim to return workers who already know the layout and the system.
Scale-back handled properly
Registration and final settlement completed on the way down, not left half-finished until somebody asks.
Shift cover with a reliever pool
Night, double and three-shift patterns with absence cover planned in, because a picker short on Sunday night is a late dispatch on Monday.
Verified before they touch stock
CNIC verified through NADRA, references checked, and police character certificates arranged where you require them.
Attendance that reconciles
A single attendance method agreed with your site, reconciled before payroll runs, so the gate record and the payment match.
No supplier can guarantee that nothing will ever go missing, and any supplier who does is telling you what you want to hear. What we can do is verify every worker before deployment, arrange police character certificates where you ask, keep a documented record of who worked which shift in which zone, and replace anyone you ask us to replace. Stock control itself — counts, CCTV, gate checks, access zoning — stays your operation.
From site visit to a staffed shift
For a peak, the first conversation needs to happen weeks before the peak, not days.
Site visit and scoping
Covered area, racking, dock count, order profile, shift pattern and your system — headcount comes from this.
Staffing plan and quotation
Role mix by shift, supervisor cover, reliever ratio, and the surge plan if you have a seasonal peak.
Recruitment and verification
Shortlisting, practical assessment for operators, CNIC verification, references and police character certificates where required.
Deployment and induction
Staff on site with a named supervisor, briefed on your layout, safety rules and system before the first shift.
Steady state and surge
Attendance, payroll, statutory filing, leave cover and replacement stay our job. Headcount moves up for the peak and back down after it.
On our payroll, or recruited onto yours
Warehouses are the clearest case for the contract model, because the headcount is never flat for long.
| Contract / outsourced | Permanent hiring | |
|---|---|---|
| Whose payroll? | Khawaja Manpower’s | Yours |
| Salary, attendance, EOBI & social security | We handle it | You handle it |
| Peak surge and scale-back | Handled by us | You hire and release |
| Leave, absence and replacement cover | Included for the contract term | Arranged by you |
| How you pay | One monthly invoice | One-time recruitment fee |
| Best for | Seasonal peaks, shift operations, new site ramp-up | A permanent storekeeper or warehouse in-charge |
Most clients run a permanent core — storekeeper, warehouse in-charge, a supervisor or two — and take the variable layer on contract. Tell us the flat headcount and the peak headcount and we will cost both.
The operations this is built for
Each one surges at a different time of year, which is the whole planning problem.
3PL and contract logistics
Multiple clients under one roof, each with its own peak and its own service levels.
Distribution and FMCG warehouses
High throughput, route loading to a clock, and a dispatch window that cannot slip.
E-commerce fulfilment centres
Order picking and packing, with sale events that multiply volume for a few days.
Factory raw material and finished goods stores
Stores feeding production, where a shortage upstream stops the line.
Pharma and healthcare distribution
Tighter documentation and handling discipline, and a lower tolerance for a miscount.
Dry ports, terminals and transit sheds
Container handling, stuffing and destuffing, and work that follows vessel and truck arrivals.
Registered with the bodies that matter
We are a registered Pakistani company and a registered employer. Incorporation, tax and statutory registrations are all in place, and the documents are shared directly with clients during vendor prequalification.
SECP
Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan — our company incorporation
EOBI
Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution — registered employer, contributions filed monthly
Provincial social security
PESSI, SESSI, IESSI or ESSI — registered by the worker's place of work
FBR
Federal Board of Revenue — tax registration and proper tax invoices
Companies the Khawaja Manpower group has worked with
Three decades of manpower, outsourcing and payroll work across energy, engineering and industry — for operators who audit their vendors before they appoint them.
Client names and marks are the property of their respective owners and are shown to describe past engagements of the Khawaja Manpower group.
What we do not do, and what we will not claim
No statutory forklift licence exists in Pakistan the way a driving licence does. So we do not describe operators as “licensed”. They are assessed practically on the class of machine your site runs, and where your own insurer or client requires a specific certification, we source against that requirement and you verify the document.
We supply inside Pakistan only, and we do not supply security guards — guarding needs a separate provincial licence. Gate security, CCTV and stock audit stay with you or with a licensed security contractor.
We do not publish a mobilisation time. A twenty-man loading crew and a shift of trained scanner operators are different searches. We confirm the date in writing at quotation. Our office is in Rawalpindi, which is where cover and replacement are fastest; we staff sites in Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad and elsewhere on request.
Frequently asked questions
Is this for warehouses in Pakistan, or for overseas placement?
For operations inside Pakistan. Almost every Pakistani page ranking for warehouse manpower is an overseas recruitment company supplying the Gulf or Europe. We work domestically and hold no overseas employment promoter licence.
Our volume triples during sale events and Ramzan. Can you handle that?
Yes, and it is the main reason warehouse clients use us. The surge is planned in advance — headcount, dates and role mix agreed while there is still time to recruit properly — and the scale-back afterwards is handled with registration and final settlement completed rather than left half done.
Are your forklift operators certified?
They are assessed practically on the class of machine your site runs. There is no statutory forklift licence in Pakistan, so we will not call them licensed. Where your insurer or your own client requires a specific certification, tell us at enquiry stage and we source against it.
How do you reduce the risk of stock loss?
Every worker is CNIC-verified through NADRA with references checked, police character certificates are arranged where you ask, and we keep a documented record of who worked which shift in which zone. Stock control itself — counts, CCTV, gate checks and access zoning — remains your operation. We will not promise that nothing goes missing.
Can you run night and three-shift operations?
Yes, with a reliever pool planned in for absence and weekly off. Shift timings, handover and the supervisor arrangement are fixed before deployment rather than settled afterwards.
Who employs the workers?
On the contract model, we do. Written contracts, bank-paid salaries, attendance records, EOBI and provincial social security by place of work all sit with us, and the contract says so. On permanent hiring you employ them directly and pay a one-time fee.
