What we recruit for

Engineering and site roles

A good site engineer and a good quantity surveyor are not interchangeable, and neither is a planning engineer. We screen each against what the role actually does.

RoleTypical work
Site engineersExecution, layout, levels, checking shuttering, steel and pours, site records
Civil / structural engineersDesign review, detailing, technical queries, consultant coordination
Quantity surveyors (QS)BOQs, rate analysis, measurement sheets, IPCs, variations, subcontractor bills
Planning engineersProgrammes and baselines, progress tracking, S-curves, look-ahead reports
Project & construction managersOverall delivery, cost and time control, client coordination
Site supervisors & foremenGang control, daily targets, material issue, execution quality
SurveyorsTotal station and auto level work, setting out, levels, as-built surveys
QA/QC engineers & safety officersMaterial and workmanship checks, test records, site safety
Draftsmen (AutoCAD)Working drawings, shop drawings, as-builts, markups from site

An engineer without a crew cannot deliver. Most clients mobilise the engineer, the supervisor and the gang beneath them together — see construction labour supply, welder supply and electrician supply.

Technical screening

Engineering CVs describe projects. They do not describe performance.

A CV line reading “5-storey commercial building” tells you almost nothing. So we break it down: which project, which client and consultant, which scope, and what this candidate personally handled as opposed to what his team did around him.

Then a technical interview matched to the scope — setting out and levels for a site engineer, measurement and rate analysis for a QS, baseline and progress reporting for a planning engineer, quality and test records for QA/QC. Where it adds value we set a practical task: a short BOQ or measurement exercise, an AutoCAD task, or a programme update.

You receive the CV, the task output, the interview notes and the reference findings. Your own interview then starts from facts rather than from first impressions.

What we check

Six checks before a CV reaches you

Documents, registration, history, software, references and identity.

Degree and DAE documents

Reviewed, with verification arranged at the issuing university or board on request. We check — we do not certify.

PEC registration, where it applies

Many client, consultant and tender requirements call for a registered engineer. Tell us if it is mandatory and we filter on it.

Project history, broken down

Scope, client, consultant and personal responsibility, rather than the project name alone.

Software, properly

AutoCAD for site engineers and draftsmen, Primavera P6 or MS Project for planners, measurement tools for QS candidates.

References that go beyond dates

Designation, project, period of service and reason for leaving, confirmed with the previous employer.

CNIC verified through NADRA

Plus a police character certificate wherever your client or site requires one.

We never say every candidate is PEC-registered

PEC registration is held by the individual engineer and confirmed by the Pakistan Engineering Council — not by us. We ask for the registration number where the role requires it and arrange confirmation with PEC on request. We do not register or certify engineers.

How it works

From a won bid to an engineer on site

Contractors usually come to us the week after an award. The sequence is built for that.

1

Send the requirement

Role, project type and stage, experience, software, salary range, site location and duration.

2

We shortlist and technically screen

Matched to the scope — execution, measurement, planning or quality.

3

You get the evidence

CVs, screening notes, task output and reference findings.

4

You interview

At our office, at your site in the twin cities, or online for other locations.

5

Mobilisation and support

Documents and contract in place. For contract engineers, payroll and replacement stay our job.

Two models

Project-duration contract, or permanent on your books

A bid you just won and a core team you keep between projects are different problems.

If a person we place leaves early or does not perform, we replace them — within the guarantee period on a permanent hire, and for the term on a contract engagement. The period is agreed in writing before you sign.

Said plainly

What good candidates ask first

For a remote site, agree accommodation, transport, site allowance and rotation at the offer stage. This is the first thing a good engineer asks about, and an unclear answer is the commonest reason a strong candidate declines an otherwise fair offer.

Our office is in Rawalpindi, so twin-cities interviews happen in person. We recruit for Lahore, Karachi and project sites in other districts on request.

How long a screened shortlist takes depends on the role and the band — a site engineer is a faster search than a planning engineer who genuinely knows P6. We confirm it in writing when we take the requirement. This is domestic recruitment only: no overseas, Gulf or visa placements.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you recruit engineers for a single project rather than permanently?

Yes — on a project-duration contract on our payroll, or permanently on yours. Tell us the project length and we will recommend the model that costs less.

Do you check PEC registration?

Where the role requires it, yes. We ask for the PEC registration number and arrange confirmation with the Pakistan Engineering Council on request. Tell us at enquiry stage if it is mandatory so we filter on it from the start.

Mujhe apne construction project ke liye site engineer chahiye — process kya hai?

WhatsApp par project ki type, experience, software requirement, salary range aur site location bhej dein. Technical screening aur reference check ke baad shortlist aap ko bheji jati hai — screening notes aur task ka nateeja bhi sath hota hai. Interview aap khud karte hain.

Can you supply the labour along with the engineer?

Yes, and most clients do — engineers, supervisors and the site gang mobilised together for one start date. See construction labour supply.

How do you test a quantity surveyor?

With a technical interview on measurement, rate analysis, IPCs and variations, plus a short practical BOQ exercise. The output reaches you with the CV so you can judge the working, not just the answer.

What if the engineer leaves soon after joining?

We replace them — within the guarantee period on a permanent hire, and included for the term on a contract engagement.
