School, College & University Support Staff in Pakistan
Janitorial, lab attendants, admin helpers, gardeners, hostel and kitchen support for schools, colleges and universities — verified before they set foot on a campus, and rostered around the academic calendar.
Khawaja Manpower (SMC-Private) Limited — a registered Pakistani company
What we settle before anyone joins a campus
- Verification standard for staff around students
- Which areas each grade may enter, and when
- Conduct rules, briefed and signed
- The vacation arrangement, in writing
- Who on your side supervises each team
Non-teaching campus roles
Every role below is a non-teaching support role. We do not supply teachers, lecturers or anyone in an instructional position.
| Role | Typical duties |
|---|---|
| Janitorial & cleaning staff | Classrooms, corridors, washrooms, staff rooms and common areas |
| Lab attendants & helpers | Apparatus setup and cleaning, stores movement, under your lab in-charge |
| Admin & office helpers | File movement, photocopying, notices, front-desk support |
| Gardeners & grounds staff | Lawns, playgrounds, sports grounds and outdoor areas |
| Hostel support staff | Hostel housekeeping, mess support and common-room upkeep |
| Kitchen & canteen helpers | Canteen and mess kitchen support, serving and cleaning |
| Library helpers | Shelving, issue-desk support, reading-room upkeep |
| Maintenance helpers | Electrical, plumbing and general repair support around the campus |
| Supervisors | Roster, attendance, area checklists, reporting to your administration |
Drivers for school vans and buses are covered on driver supply, where licence class is verified against the issuing traffic police record. For administrative positions on your own payroll, see office staff recruitment.
These people work where children and young people are
That single fact changes how this contract should be written. A campus is not an office, and a support worker on a school site is not simply a cleaner — they are an adult with routine access to a place full of students.
So for education placements we treat police character certificates as standard rather than optional, we verify CNIC at source, and we speak to previous employers rather than accepting a letter. Conduct rules are briefed and signed before deployment: where staff may and may not go, that they do not engage with students beyond their duties, and that anything concerning is reported to your administration immediately rather than handled informally.
Your institution’s own safeguarding policy governs, and our staff work under your supervision to it. We will say plainly that a staffing supplier cannot substitute for that policy — what we can do is make sure nobody arrives on your campus unverified or unbriefed.
Six things an education contract has to handle
A campus does not run on twelve equal months, and a contract that pretends otherwise falls apart in June.
The vacation question, answered first
What happens to headcount during long vacations is the single biggest commercial decision. We agree it in writing before the contract starts.
Deep clean between terms
Vacation is when the real cleaning happens. That needs a plan and a headcount of its own, not whoever is left.
Rostered around teaching
Cleaning before and after class, not during it. Exam periods and events planned separately.
Relief that does not disrupt
A reliever pool of people who have already been verified and briefed, rather than new faces appearing on campus.
Conduct briefed and signed
Area limits, student interaction boundaries and reporting lines, agreed before the first day.
Verified before campus access
CNIC verification, previous-employer references and police character certificates completed before anyone enters.
No teachers, lecturers, instructors or academic staff. Those are appointments your institution makes under its own criteria and the relevant regulatory requirements. We supply non-teaching support roles only, and the duties written into the contract keep that boundary clear.
From campus walkthrough to a staffed term
Starting at the beginning of a term is far easier than starting mid-session.
Campus walkthrough
Buildings, classrooms, labs, washroom count, grounds, hostel and canteen — and the student numbers behind them.
Staffing and calendar plan
Headcount by area, the teaching-hours roster, the vacation arrangement and the between-terms deep clean.
Verification and briefing
CNIC verification, references, police character certificates, and conduct rules briefed and signed.
Deployment
Staff on campus in uniform with ID, with a named supervisor reporting to your administration.
Term review
A review each term against your checklists, so issues are corrected at term break rather than carried forward.
What we supply, and what we do not
The right-hand column is deliberate, and we will not move it.
| We supply | We do not | |
|---|---|---|
| Janitorial, grounds and maintenance helpers | Yes | — |
| Lab, library and admin helpers | Yes | — |
| Hostel, kitchen and canteen support | Yes | — |
| Supervisors for the support teams | Yes | — |
| Teachers, lecturers and instructors | — | Not supplied |
| Any role with academic or disciplinary authority over students | — | Not supplied |
| Unsupervised responsibility for students | — | Never |
| Security guarding | — | Separately licensed; not offered |
| Your safeguarding policy | — | Yours; our staff work to it |
If a request would place a support worker in a position of responsibility over students, the answer is no — and we would rather say it at quotation stage than have it drift into practice.
The institutions this is built for
Each has a different calendar, a different footprint and a different standard.
Schools and school systems
Multiple campuses, a tight teaching-hours roster, and the highest verification bar.
Colleges and intermediate institutions
Larger buildings, lab-heavy, with exam periods that reshape the roster.
Universities
Campus-scale operations — grounds, hostels, labs, libraries and canteens under one contract.
Hostels and boarding facilities
Round-the-clock presence, which raises the verification and conduct requirements again.
Technical and vocational institutes
Workshop and lab support alongside ordinary campus cleaning.
Teaching hospitals and nursing institutes
Campus and clinical areas together — see hospital support staffing for the clinical side.

Companies the Khawaja Manpower group has worked with
Three decades of manpower, outsourcing and payroll work across energy, engineering and industry — for operators who audit their vendors before they appoint them.

Two things we will not do
We will not place a support worker in any position of responsibility over students, and we will not agree to it informally at campus level either. Supervision of students is your staff’s role, under your own policy.
We will not skip verification to meet a start date. If a term begins before a police character certificate is through, we will tell you that rather than deploying and completing the file afterwards. On a campus that is not a corner worth cutting.
Our office is in Rawalpindi. We staff campuses in the twin cities fastest, and institutions in Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Peshawar and elsewhere on request. We do not supply security guards — guarding needs a separate provincial licence.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to the staff during long vacations?
This is the question to settle before the contract starts, not during it. Some institutions reduce headcount and keep a deep-clean crew; others keep the full team for maintenance and repairs. Both work. What does not work is leaving it undecided until June.
How do you verify staff who will work around students?
CNIC verified through NADRA, previous employers contacted directly, and police character certificates arranged before deployment — treated as standard for education placements rather than optional. Conduct rules covering area limits and student interaction are briefed and signed before the first day.
Do you supply teachers?
No. We supply non-teaching support roles only. Teaching and academic appointments are made by your institution under its own criteria and the relevant regulatory requirements.
Can cleaning be scheduled around our teaching hours?
Yes, and it should be. The roster is built around class timings — before and after teaching rather than during it — with exam periods and events planned separately.
We have more than one campus. Is that one contract?
Yes, with a supervisor per campus and one attendance routine across all of them. Where campuses are in different provinces, each registers with the social security institution applicable to its own location.
Do you provide security guards for the campus?
No. Guarding requires a separate provincial licence which we do not hold. We supply janitorial, lab, admin, grounds, hostel, kitchen and maintenance support staff.
More from Khawaja Manpower
Campuses usually take more than one of these.
Arrange a campus walkthrough
Send your campus details, student numbers and the areas you want covered. We walk the campus, then give you a staffing plan, a teaching-hours roster and the vacation arrangement in writing.
